Paddock Play

- Fortnightly Play Sessions- - ECE Trips- An opportunity to head out into the world alongside your child. We create a time in a place for the space to just 'be'. To just 'be' completely immersed in nature on the farm, embracing the elements at will. Connecting with friends & animals, exploring and discovering through play in the paddock. Enriching this precious time for our boys and girls as they are learning all about Being Me!

Wild West Organic Farm

A certified organic, family farm where we raise cows, sheep and free range pigs. Along with pet goats and chickens we are also a sanctuary to a plethora of wild birdlife from Turkeys to Herons. Our protected bush provides a great habitat for native birds and ancient trees. Exploring our Bamboo Forest is a unique acitivity many children have enjoyed over the years. Various locations across the farm have been chosen to set up as play bases from which children can explore out. These include the Farmyard, Whare Paddock, Ti Kouka base, Bamboo base and Totara tree base in the Tomo Paddock.
Helen James - Farmer & Paddock Play Co-ordinator I established Paddock Play in 2017. Having enjoyed Playcentre for 8 years with my 3 children, where I gained Level 3 of the Playcentre training in 2019 it has been great to continue working with young children and their parents on the farm now that my own children are all at school.
